Members of the team are (L-R) Al McClure, Jeff Feinstein, John Goodlad, Cliff Greer, John Adler & Steve Fulghum

Thanks to John for sending in this great photo.

These four photos, sent in 29 October 2007 by Capt Brian "Deuce" Wilder, show a couple of "Sweeps" and a Naming Ceremony (far right) for one of our new Squadron members.  Mr Baughman, shown in the photo at top right, was finally named "Boar" after much discussion and thought by his fellow Squadron mates.
This nickname/callsign will stay with him for the rest of his life to other Headhunters/Juvats.

Thanks to Deuce for these great pics!

Our Squadron's social/party/meeting hooch, Brunigan's, known as Bruni's for short and used for over 20 years,  was torn down along with the other similar buildings in the vicinity on 9 June 2007 to make way for a new billeting complex at Kunsan.  Many of the historic items & displays were kept to, hopefully, put in a new Bruni's that will be made sometime soon.  These items were made into a temporary float for their 4th of July parade, and those photos, sent in by Capt Gregory 'Nailz' Collister on 12 August, are below.  Many thanks to Nailz for the great pics!

These 5 photos, which were on a CD given to me by Fowler "Big Dog" Cary at our local airshow on 20 March 2004, are photos of Big Dog's visit to Kunsan in April 2002.  Big Dog (BD) owns and flies his own pristine vintage T-33 jet trainer at air shows around the Country, and his beautiful bird has the paint scheme of the original USAF T-33 Thunderbirds of the 1950's.

The 2 messages and 7 photos below were received from our active Squadron on 5 January 2003.  The explanation below, along with the smiles on the children's faces, are self-explanatory!  Enjoy!

Jaybird,

For you to share with the association on the Web site.

On Christmas Day 2002, the Juvats combined with the Pantons to donate Shoes, Food, Gifts, and $1700 for the local Orphanage.  This was the 23rd annual Christmas that we have donated to the Orphanage.  Since this is such a long tradition, I'm sure many of our members will have fond memories of donating to the orphanage when they were stationed here.  This year the visit was organized by Lt Bart "Kid" Wilbanks.  It was a huge success.  I'm not sure which the children enjoyed more, the gifts or playing with their visitors.

I've attached several photos for you to use as you see fit.

This is just another great example of what fine people we have serving in the 80th Fighter Squadron.

Juvat Lead

ERIC J. SCHNITZER, Lt Col, USAF
Commander,  80th Fighter Squadron

Gentlemen,

How many places do you think you can send out an email and raise $1,400 in a matter of a few hours?  Well, the Juvats did that!  I had people hunting me down to give me money.  I didn't even have to try.  Between the two squadrons we raised about $2,200.  That's awesome!!

Thanks for the 23rd Annual Juvat/Panton Christmas Orphanage Trip.  It definitely made my Christmas to be able to do that for those kids.

Thanks to all in our active Squadron for carrying on our great tradition of helping the kids in this orphanage.  As you can see, it's truly a worthwhile cause.

When I was there in '79-'80 we used to dress up in our Sweep shirts (see the two photos below this paragraph) with blue jeans and our flight boots, jump on our motorcycles, and ride over as a Squadron to visit!   We looked like a swarm of bumblebees!!  We got a lot of smiles from others on the road over and back.  The kids would squeal with delight when they saw us, and we would spend the afternoon with them playing and giving rides around their compound.  They had a ball---and so did we!  Great memories for me, and these photos rekindled them--thanks!!  JayBird

The two photos immediately below were given to JayBird at the Mesa Reunion in April 2004 by Joan Fudala.  I never knew these photos existed!  Joan, who is the wife of Gene Fudala, worked in 8th TFW HQ in 1979-1980 when Gene and I were in the 80th together.  My many thanks go out to Joan for these two personal photos!
