‘Twas the night before Christmas, 80th Fighter Squadron “Headhunters,” 1976. The Juvats spent Christmas Eve 1976 with our Korean friends in the Officer’s Club with Christmas dinner for the kids and choir from a local orphanage. 1Lt Saul Nova, RIP

  One of our last Headhunter P-38 pilots, Saul Nova, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Denver, Colorado.  Saul was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 24, 1924, and was 94 years old.  He was preceded in death by his son Melvin in 1974, and wife Pansy in 2002.  His graveside service was held at the Fairmount Cemetery…

James W. “Tex” Ritter, RIP

Headhunters, As mentioned in the last newsletter, our President Emeritus Tex Ritter was diagnosed with and had surgery to remove a glioblastoma brain tumor in May of this year.  I was just informed that he passed away suddenly on Monday, September 17, 2018.  Tex’s obituary is attached below.  Rest in Peace my friend and fellow JUVAT.
