24th Reunion
Hosted byTex & Rita Ritter
19-22 April 2007
Amerisuites Historic Stockyards Hotel
This outstanding 24th reunion was hosted by Tex & Rita Ritter. We had about 120 for our Saturday night banquet. Our thanks go out again to fellow Headhunters, Dick & Mary Jonas, for supplying the outstanding entertainment at our banquet and the rest of the reunion in the hospitality room with great sing-a-longs! Dick & Mary gave us a special treat this time with Irv & Sally Lavine, Emmit Brooks, Tom Reichert and Toby Hughes joining them on stage!
Friday night was a great time across the street at Billy Bob's--the "World's Largest Honky-tonk!" Their "Sheriff and his deputy" came over to our hospitality room, and along with a short introduction and show, invited us over for the evening dinner and entertainment--both were outstanding!
Our thanks also go out to another Headhunter, Lt Gen (Ret) Dick Swope, who was our last minute guest speaker. Wolfpack legend Brig Gen Robin Olds was going to be our speaker, but he had to cancel out due to his failing health.
For the first time, a live video hook-up was made with our active Squadron's JBC at Kunsan and our singers, complete with song books supplied by Tex & Rita, in the hospitality room! With Dick, Irv, Tom, and Toby--plus 30 backup singers on our end, it was quite a memorable sing-a-long!! Check the many photos below!
Both active and retired Headhunters from WWII to the present attended. Some of our WWII members came in again from as far away as Hawaii, Wisconsin and Tennessee. A great time was had by all!!
Dan "Cadillac" Saville was our CINC GOLF. He set up an outstanding Headhunter Open golf tournament--the best we've had in years! Unfortunately, I left my camera back at the hotel--and so did everyone else, so great photos are not available. However, it will suffice to say the course and tournament were absolutely beautiful for the 4 foursomes that played. Thanks, Cadillac!
All the golfers were given a treat as we heard an old plane, looked up, and saw Bosco Bostick write a huge 80 in white smoke from his vintage T-6. It was quite windy that day, but the figures were unmistakable! Thanks, Bosco, for the airshow!

Bob Kan, our LTM member and Sq/CC from 1972 - '73, made up all the beautiful collages for our reunion memory books this time as he has for many reunions. Thanks again, Bob, for your great work!
Here they are--enjoy!!
