Senior Airman Lewis Weineke

Joe, forgive the admin delay in publishing this. I've put it in the Korean History Photo Section as well as the "News" section and the November 2017 newsletter for better visibility.

I ran across your website doing research on my wife's uncle's military service. He was Lewis A Wieneke, an "Aircraft Instrument Mechanic" who served actively from October 1951 through September, 1955. Attached are a photos of his patches and medals while in the Air Force and a photo of his training group. We also have a number old slides and photos. He served in both Korea and Japan. As you can see we think he served in the 80th but we don’t know when or any other details. He also served in the 310th, we suspect later in 1954 and 1955.

If anyone has information regarding Lewis we sure would like to know. Also, I haven’t been able to find information on the 20th Air Force "Okinawa" patch and have seen no "Headhunter" patch like his.

Thanks much, Joe Saiia Delafield, WI 262-968-3289
