Jeff Dishart Memorial Service

Unfortunately I can't attend. Hopefully there are a few Headhunters in the area who can (remember he's buying the first round!)

This is from Jeff's brother Steve:

Dear Family and Friends,

A memorial service for Jeffrey Paul Dishart, USAF Ret., will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 4 pm in Katonah, New York. The service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Katonah, 31 Bedford Rd., Katonah, New York, 10536.

A brief reception will be held following the service in Fellowship Hall, an adjacent room to the sanctuary of the church. Following the reception at the church, family and friends are invited to Oliver’s Restaurant, 128 Bedford Road, Katonah, NY, 10536. There, at Oliver’s, I’ll be pleased to offer the first round on me to celebrate Jeff’s amazing life. There’s a full menu there and it’s a nice, casual place to gather.

I know it’s a long way to travel for many. As such, I understand if you can’t make it. However, if you can attend, accommodations are nearby and I’ve provided a link to several below. You can find others online. Also, this area of New York is historic, including West Point, FDR’s home as well as wineries and the Hudson River museum, etc. You could fit in some sightseeing if you wish to stay a day or two. We’re not far from Manhattan, about 45 minutes from Katonah, if you care to fit in a New York City visit.

The hotel names, below, are web links to the accommodations' home pages. Also, if you’re interested in getting here via NYC, the church is within walking distance of the Katonah Train Station (see Metro North online at http://www.mta.info/mnr.) The train leaves Grand Central in midtown Manhattan regularly. A map of the area is below as well.

Please RSVP ( skdishart@me.com) so I can estimate the need for refreshments at the church and make reservations at Oliver’s.

If you didn’t get this directly from me, I’m sorry and it was not intentional to leave anyone out. I know I may not have all the necessary emails, but all are welcome to attend. If I missed a family or friend, it was not on purpose. Please pass it on.

I look forward to celebrating Jeff’s well-lived large life. Below the map is a photo from Jeff’s 57th birthday celebration May 7, 2014. He made it to 58 and embraced every single day until he moved on to his place in heaven on June 13 this year.

Love and Regards,Steve
